Darryl Sharp - Managing Director
Darryl commenced at Austin in the foundation year of 1987 after 3 years of working for medium and large customs brokerages and freight forwarders. He is a licensed customs broker and a Fellow of the Customs Broker and Forwarders Council of Australia (CBFCA). In 2007 he was elected as Chairman of the CBFCA and he remains very committed to supporting and improving this dynamic industry. Darryl has traveled extensively in his official capacity to places such as Shanghai, Moscow, Yokohama, Zurich and Istanbul in order to provide a better perspective to Australia’s role in international trade. It has also presented him the opportunity to meet regularly with the CEO of Customs, Federal and State Ministers plus a diverse cross section of industry leaders and innovators

Scott Vitelli - General Manager
Scott commenced his time at Austin in 1989 and has worked in all sectors of the business before being appointed to the position of General Manager in 2007. Scott is a licensed customs broker and associate of the CBFCA. Together with Darryl they traveled throughout SE Asia and other key regions to establish and build relationships with our overseas freight agents based on the core principals of communication, care and integrity.

Rose Harrison - IT & Administration Manager
Rose joined Austin in 2001 and is responsible for the core functions of information technology, human resources and general administration. Her background is in administrative accounting and this has been supplemented in recent years with training in web based design and IT applications.

Keith Smith - Customs Consultant.
Keith commenced with Austin in 1987 and he has been an integral part of the growth and expansion that you see today. His earlier experience included seventeen years working with Australian Customs and then over thirty years as a senior consultant and director of various companies. Keith commenced a transition to retirement in June 30 2007 as part of the companies overall succession plan and it enables him to fully focus on the provision of consultancy services to you, our clients. He also has plans to enjoy a bit of fishing and golf.

Clint Latta - Customs Compliance Manager
Clint provides a dedicated technical focus for our clients thanks to his consulting background with Price Waterhouse Coopers and KPMG. He is a licensed customs broker and associate of the CBFCA. His strengths are compliance and legislative review and these skill sets supplement the existing expertise within Austin. Clint is currently studying a Bachelor of Business with UTS as part of his ongoing professional education.

Ian Charnaud - Account Executive
Ian is a licenced customs broker who has been an integral part of the Austin team since our very first day in 1987. Ian is fully accredited with AQIS and has many years experience servicing a number of timber importers. His client base is extensive and his experience working with both Australian Customs and the private sector makes him well placed to facilitate all aspects of barrier clearance and related regulation.

Craig Bashall - Account Executive
Craig returned to Austin in 2003 after a brief period with a large multinational company and his combined time at Austin now exceeds fifteen years. He is a licensed customs broker and has AQIS co-compliance accreditation. He manages an experience operational team that services a broad cross section across a range of industry sectors. Craig is suitably experienced and qualified to provide a complete barrier clearance experience to importers.

Matthew Watt - Account Executive
Matt re-joined Austin in 2002 in the capacity of a licenced customs broker with full AQIS accreditation and fresh ideas having worked for an integrator for a short period. He manages a very select group of clients with a focus on the automotive industry and this dovetails in nicely with his interest in motor vehicles.

Michael Kelly - Freight Manager
Mike is an experienced Freight Manager having worked in a variety of positions in both Australia and the United Kingdom. He directs the Austin Freight team and he is always at the ready to provide assistance to importers, exporters and overseas freight agents

James Black - Sales Manager
Having worked in the freight industry since birth, James is well placed to consider your freight needs and suggest appropriate solutions. He has worked for a number of freight forwarders over the past twenty years and will assist with quotes and logical advice for all types of shipments from the regular to the very specific project type.
